The appointment went well and the following is what she had to say about Reese. "It appears that Reese may have a weak immune system, which has been unable to fight infections well, but is also out of balance and so is to reactive and so has caused her to develop allergies. Since a lot of her issues have been to do with her extremities (ears, legs, feet, and anal area) there is a high probability that she does have food allergies".
She gave me some suggestions of foods to try (fruits and veggies) introducing one at a time for a week and make a list of good and bad foods. She talked about a raw food diet, but said if that was not possible to give her pureed fruits and veggies and frozen meat patties from a holistic pet food store. She also suggested considering starting a supplement such a Greens Plus and start her back on Omega fatty acids (she was on these during her mange treatment).
For her anxiety she said for the time being keep her on the clomipramine and add Aconite (a homepathic medication) she gets 1ml once a day for 3 days then periodically when needed. I may be a little overly optomistic but she seems to be happier and less stressed. If the Aconite is effective then I can slowing take her off of the clomipramine.
Overall it was well worth the time and money so get another prescpective.
